  1. I have a 2005 Picasso 1.6 HDi Exclusive. Frequently, after I leave the car (locked) the radio comes on and switches off sometime later. What could be causing this and how might I fix it?
  2. I have a 2005 Picasso 1.6 HDi Exclusive. When the ignition is on there is a ticking sound (~once per second) coming from the left side of the dashboard. What could be causing this and how might I fix it?
  3. Hi I have a Xsara Picasso 1.6HDi Exc 2005. Last week I was accelerating uphill on a motorway stretch (so the engine was pushed quite hard) when the 'Engine Fault' message and indicator appeared. The indication reappears whenever I start the car. Using a friends VAGcom reader I found that there is one engine fault recorded by the ECU: P0234 Boost pressure regulation: Limit exceeded (overboost condition) Reading up about this code here: http://www.obd-codes.com/p0234 it seems that there is no obvious single cause of this fault, but it could be serious. I would be grateful for opinions
  4. Thanks for your reply. Did you buy the trim from Citroen or find a second-hand part? Also, where did you buy the panel removal tool? Best regards David
  5. Hi I also need to replace the tailgate handle trim on my Picasso 1.6 HDi Exclusive. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this please? David
  6. Hi I have a 55 reg. 1.6 HDi Xsara Picasso. Today, while removing the engine undertray, I found a clear plastic tube dangling down the front of the engine, about 1 foot from the nearside bulkhead. Any idea what that is please? Should it be disconnected i.e. is it a drain or overflow? David
  7. Probably too late for you, but I would recommend the Thule range. I have a Thule rear mounted carrier, which is fine, but quite a job to use. Has the disadvantage that the tailgate is very heavy to lift when the bikes are on. If you have a tow bar, there is another system, probably better. I now prefer roof mounted racks. The Thule ones are very good. Just remember to be careful of low overhead barriers! David
  8. Hi, I have also bought an undertray for £42.90 on ebay. Sounds like it is the same as yours. Please will you tell me how you removed / fitted the heat shield and sound absorbing pads? What is the water deflector? (I have the 1.6 HDi). Also, I have found a clear tube dangling down the right-hand side of the engine and resting in the remains of the undertray. Any idea what that is please? Best regards David
  9. Hi Ken Please will you tell me what you did to fix your rear wiper problem (or give the link to the appropriate thread on the forum) ? The rear wiper on my 1.6HDI Picasso goes off at odd times. Best regards David
  10. Hi, I lost part of the engine undertray on my 55 reg Picasso 1.6 HDI on the A12 last week. The tray is partly metal and has some sound absorbant material. I saw this Polyethylene replacement on ebay: ebay link (Not sure yet whether this link is exactly the correct part). I doubt it has any sound absorbant material. What do people think about replacing the Citroen version with this Polyethylene part? Should I search the scrap yards instead? David
  11. Hi I have a Xsara Picasso HDI Exclusive, 55 reg. I am pleased to be able to use this forum. Driving down the A12 yesterday I lost part of the shield beneath the engine. One of the supports is broken. Please can anyone tell me the proper name of this shield, how easy it is to fit and whether it's worth trying to find one second-hand? David
