could use some Picasso c3 towing advice please

Recommended Posts

I've been interested in a C4 Picasso for a while now, today I went to my local dealers showroom to look at one but then saw a C3 which was very attractive and seems to fit the bill.    My caravan is 905 maximum weight which I tow with a Scenic (2750 train weight max)  I would be wanting the 1598 petrol engine on a C3.  I've been told by the distributor that the 1598 petrol engine is now only available with an automatic gearbox, does anyone have any comments on towing with the C3 either with or without the automatic box.  In days gone by it was generally reckoned that an automatic box really needed an oil cooler fitting, but times have moved on now.... also I'm trying to find the maximum train weight for the C3.  Any help would be really appreciated.   Many thanks.....

You can look at the latest manual here http://service.citroen.com/ddb/change the language to UK in top right corner and then click on the C3 Picasso symbol, this will open a drop down with LHD and RHD symbols, click the one on the left and then choose the latest date range.

Hi Stimulator - I've checked all the details and unfortunately the C3 will not be suitable for my van, mainly due to the towball maximum weight. but some of the other spec is unsuitable..... pity really 'cos it does seem to be a nice car.  Looks like I'm back onto the C4 research but I'm very grateful for your help.. Many Thanks and best Regards............
