Oil pressure sensor location 2008

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction?
I’m looking to change the oil pressure sensor on a 2008 Citroen Xsara Picaso. I have the part on order I just can’t see where it goes.
The reason for changing is an “oil pressure low” warning on the dash. It’s intermittent while driving but it consistently going off while stationery.

According to a Haynes manual for the Picasso the oil pressure switch is located at the front of the cylinder block above the oil filter mounting or in the oil filter housing. It says on some engines access may be better from underneath and the under tray removed. The manual I have is for 2000 to 2002 cars so might not be the same on later ones.
